Lasting Results via Interactive Presentations
Employee participation in wellness initiatives offered at work is a major contributing factor to the success of any program. As an Onsite Wellness Seminar Facilitator having completed more than 100 presentations in diverse settings, participants have reported positively whenever the topic was both relevant and engaging. Improving results in the popular presentation ‘Stretch and Strengthen at Your Desk’ is a case in point.
In early versions of the slide presentation, photos were not included, making interpretation of the exercises difficult to discern. In some cases, the topic did not resonate with the audience because they were either already active in their daily lives or had physically demanding jobs. In some cases, the room in which the seminar was held was too small to try out some of the moves. Success came with the appropriate sized conference room, a well-matched audience, improved slides and the addition of exercise bands for all participants to put to use during our time together. The results were 100% participation, 100% rate of satisfaction, stress reduction, laughing, camaraderie, vastly improved understanding of the moves and a reduction in injuries when performing the exercises after the lesson.
The feedback: “The group absolutely loved the seminar! It sounds like it was very interactive and the participants were able to take away the information also. Thank you for the feedback on the slides as well, we are in the process of updated the PPTs and this is exactly the kind of information that will help better the slides. I’m glad they were able to receive the bands also! What a great way to incorporate all of the information!”
